Dr. Athira Ramakrishnan is an ENT and head and neck surgeon with over 15 years of experience in the specialty. She has done her graduation and post graduation from some of the most prestigious medical institutes in the country like JIPMER and PGIMER, Chandigrah. She graduated from JIPMER, Pondicherry(2000-2006), and also did her Postgraduate in ENT at PGIMER, Chandigarh (2006 -2009) with excellent hands-on training in Ear surgeries, endoscopic surgeries, and head and neck surgeries. She also completed her Fellowship in Head & Neck Surgery at RGUHS (2013 -2014). Also, she has done Transoral Robotic Surgery Training in 2019 ( Seoul, South Korea).

Dr. Athira has keen interest in head and neck oncology and has done her fellowship and training in the specialty from the famous Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Centre. She has commendable expertise in head and neck reconstruction surgeries and firmly believes that a head and neck cancer should not mean the end of life for a patient. She wishes to provide better quality of life for cancer patients after the treatment, which may involve surgery or the fearsome chemotherapy and radiation. She skilfully performs organ-preserving surgeries whenever feasible like laser surgery in laryngeal cancer and many more. Dr. Athira is trained in Trans-oral Robotic Surgery, and she is also an Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Correction Specialist.
