Work Experience

Dr. Deepak comes with an overall experience of 19 years. He was a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust in England before moving back to India in 2017. Having worked in some of the premier institutes such as Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, and Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool. He has a comprehensive experience in all aspects of Orthopaedic Surgery. In 2017, he moved to India and has been associated with some of the most reputed private hospitals in Bangalore.

Education

He completed his basic surgical training in Manchester and was awarded MRCS (Membership of Royal College of Surgeons). He underwent higher surgical training as a specialist registrar on the Liverpool rotation and obtained the Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons, FRCS (Orth). He was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT). He pursued super-specialist fellowship training in musculoskeletal oncology at the prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. He underwent further expert training in dealing with revision joint replacements at the Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals. 

He has several publications and international presentations.

Extracurricular activities: 

Dr. Deepak is the Chairman of Sumitra Mahadevappa Charitable Trust, which provides health care and educational grants to the poor and needy individuals.  
He is a keen golfer and loves playing cricket and tennis.

Dr. Deepak has performed over 10000+ surgeries while working at premier institutes in UK & India. 

His special interest lies in primary, complex & revision Joint replacement surgeries of HIP, KNEE & SHOULDERS.
