Dr. Garud Chandan has over 20 years of clinical experience in Critical care medicine in India and abroad. He has been with Fortis hospital for more than 10 years and has grown in this institute as an additional director in Critical care medicine and has been a team member of our highly recognised Medical Intensive care unit for more than 10 years. Dr. Chandan is actively involved in departmental academic activities to train the next generation of intensivists for many years.
Dr. Garud Chandan has with him an experience of over 20 years. He has dual training in critical care medicine and anaesthesiology from United Kingdom (UK) and also worked as a consultant in England for more than 5 years before relocating to Bengaluru. Dr. Chandan established 24/7 critical care outreach and Ward Non-invasive (NIV) service during his tenure as a consultant in the UK.
He has completed his MBBS from Mysore Medical College and FRCA from Royal College of Anaesthetists, London. Dr. Chandan later went on to pursue FFICM (Fellowship of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine), London.
Dr. Garud Chandan is a recognized teacher and an examiner for DrNB (SS) of the National Board for critical care medicine and IDCCM of the Society of critical care medicine, India. He is a fellow of Royal college of anaesthetists and Faculty of Intensive care Medicine in the United Kingdom. He has published extensively in many Peer reviewed journals.
