Dr. Richard is a young, talented, and budding pediatrician, well known for his work with children. He is a Consultant at Fortis Hospital, Richmond Road, Bangalore. He is known for his kindness to children, patient listening to parents, and judicious use of antibiotics. He is up-to-date with the latest guidelines and is very ethical in his diagnosis and treatment of children. His areas of interest include caring for newborn babies, breastfeeding, growth and development, managing infections, nutrition in children, and vaccinations. He spends his free time doing charity work, giving talks, training nurses, and playing with his 2-year-old son.
He then relocated to Bangalore and joined St Philomena’s Hospital where he worked for almost a year. In 2019, Dr. Richard completed his training in Pediatric Nutrition at the Boston University School of Medicine, USA.
Dr Richard completed his undergraduate studies in the prestigious Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute in 2011. After completing his MBBS degree, he was sure that he wanted to pursue a specialty where he could treat children. He further completed his postgraduate studies at Nazareth Hospital in Shillong and secured a postgraduate degree in Pediatrics from the National Board of Examinations in 2015.
Dr. Richard is a life member of The Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) and also a Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS). He is also a member of the Non-Communicable Diseases Prevention Academy (NCDPA). Dr Richard has published articles in both national and international journals. He is also on the board of Medical reviewers of the website Momjunction.
