Dr Satish S  has with him an experience of over 31  years.
 

Education

Dr. Satish completed his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore University in 1990 securing 1st rank in final MBBS for the University & won 8 Gold Medals. He was one of the four to be selected in a nationwide selection process for the MCh, Neurosurgery from NIMHANS, which he successfully completed in 1994. His academic excellence continued and he bagged his Master’s degree DNB in Neurosurgery, New Delhi in 1995 He obtained his specialty fellowship training in Skull base and Neuro Vascular Surgery, L.S.U.H.S.C. This advanced training in USA, helped him to become one of the leading authorities in the Country.

Dr Satish holds a number of teaching positions at some of Asia’s prestigious institutions. He held the position of Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS, Bangalore) , until 2006, when he stepped into full time private practice setting up the department at a large corporate hospital successfully. , He has gained valuable expertise and has been involved in various leading research projects at the Louisiana State University of health Sciences, Shreveport, USA. He has given many presentations in India and abroad. He has published more than 40 papers as author or co author in national & international publications & has chaired/presented several papers in Neurosurgical & Spinal conferences in India & abroad. He is also a member of Neurological society of India and Andhra Pradesh Neuroscientists Association and Bangalore neurological society.

He has also published about 24 papers as author/co-author in national/international journals. 

Area Of Expertise

He has expertise in performing Minimal Invasive Brain, Spine surgery and Micro surgery of Brain tumor and vascular lesions, Micro-neurosurgery for Brain Tumors, Pituitary tumors and Meningiomas, Skull Base Surgery-Anterior, Middle and Posterior Pituitary Adenoma, Spinal Surgery & Instrumentations-Anterior Cervical microdiscoidectomies,Spinal Fusion and corpectomies, Laminectomies, Spinal Decompression, Lumbar Micro and Endoscopic Discoidectomies.
