Dr. Shivanand has performed more than 15000 Cathlab procedures including diagnostic and interventional procedures. He specializes in Coronary Angioplasty (both radial & femoral), Mitral, Aortic & Pulmonary Valvuloplasties, Peripheral Angioplasties, Pacemaker Implantation, ASD, VSD & PDA device closures. He is an expert at interpreting complex rhythm abnormalities of heart; analyzing Holter monitoring, TMT, 2D Echochardiography & Transoesophageal Echocardiography.

Dr. Shivanand S Patil did his MBBS from Gulbarga University 1997, MD from RGUHS 2001 and D.M from Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology 2007.After completing his MBBS & MD (Internal Medicine), he perused his DM Cardiology at the prestigious Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research, Bangalore. He is also a distinguished academician and has delivered many lectures in various conferences and training programs and holds many publications to his name in various national & international journals. He has been associated with Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research, Bangalore since 2007 as an Associate Professor of Cardiology Department and has been involved in teaching post graduates and junior consultants ever since.
He is an active member of CSI (Cardiological Society of India), ICC (Indian College of Cardiology), IAE (Indian Academy of Echocardiography) – Karnataka Chapter and the Indian Medical Association.
