Introduction

Dr. Shylesh completed his MBBS from Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Bengaluru and his MS (General Surgery) from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI), Bengaluru. An adept in a wide spectrum of Neurosurgical procedures, Dr. Shylesh received his super speciality training MCh (Neurosurgery) from the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health And Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru.  His field of expertise includes degenerative spine disorders, spinal trauma, complex spinal anomalies, spinal tumours, craniovertebral junction anomalies, and minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgeries. He has performed over 1500+ surgeries, including brain tumours, strokes, intracranial aneurysms, vascular malformations and trauma. Also, part of his armamentarium is peripheral nerve surgeries for acute nerve injuries, brachial plexus injuries, entrapment neuropathies and nerve sheath tumours.
