With the ever-growing lifestyle-related diseases, Shalini believes that preventive nutrition can go a long way in preventing and reducing risk factors of such diseases. She is a Post Graduate in Food Science and Nutrition and a Registered Dietitian (RD), certified by RD board of Indian Dietetic Association (IDA). She is also a certified Diabetes Educator. She heads the Dietetics Department in Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta road where she deals with all kinds of patients like diabetic, renal, obese, cardiac, malnourished, hepatic, traumatic, ventilated patients and patients with gastrointestinal problems.
Ms. Shalini Arvind has 15 years of experience in the field of Dietetics.

Her clinical interest is in the area “Medical Nutrition Therapy in Critical Care”, which concerns with supporting the treatment of patients in critical care through Nutrition. She has done her dissertation from CFTRI (Central Food Technological Research Institute).
