She is a Post Graduate in Food Science and Nutrition and a Registered Dietitian (RD), certified by RD board of Indian Dietetic Association (IDA). She is also a certified Diabetes Educator. She heads the Dietetics Department in Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta road where she deals with all kinds of patients like diabetic, renal, obese, cardiac, malnourished, hepatic, traumatic, ventilated patients and patients with gastrointestinal problems.

Her clinical interest is in the area “Medical Nutrition Therapy in Critical Care”, which concerns with supporting the treatment of patients in critical care through Nutrition. She has done her dissertation from CFTRI (Central Food Technological Research Institute).
