Fortis Hospital, Cunningham Road brings its 30 years of legacy in Cancer Care

Fortis Hospitals, Cunningham Road is known for its eminence in cardiac care is now bringing its 30 years of legacy to cancer care in the heart of the city. On the occasion of World Health Day, the second unit of Fortis Cancer Institute was launched in the city by Mr Ramesh Arvind – Sandalwood actor and filmmaker, along with Dr Manish Mattoo- Zonal Director- Fortis Hospitals, Bangalore, Anand Angadi- Facility Director-Fortis Hospital, Cunningham Road.

Launched in the year 2019, the first Fortis Cancer Institute at Bannerghatta Road has successfully treated over 4000+ cancer patients to date. Fortis Cancer Institute- City Center will meet the medical needs of the cancer patients with a major focus on Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology and Hemato-Oncology. Located in the central part of Bangalore many patients from different parts of the city will have easier access to Cancer treatment facilities with this center getting inaugurated.

According to a report by National Cancer Registry Programme, India, the incidence of cancer in Bangalore is 146.8 per 1 lakh individuals, which is one of the highest in the country.
